You know, I have been with GDI for a while (since september) and have only gotten 2 sign ups since joining) and lately I am not even getting leads (though I did just complete my website through them).  Are any of you getting sign ups at GDI lately?  If so, what do you do to get sign ups?  Any advice would be helpful

GDI is not my primary business and I only promote it through Ads and Cash and have just gotten 1 sign up. However, I can give you some general advice of what I do with my primary business:

massive fliers in my community

massive emails
~upload free leads found on the net into an autoresponder with a 12 email series
~paid email ads using such services as rent-a-list

show DVD (my main biz has one too) to people I know

meet people in forums and only once you become friends and/or they ask what you do, show them your site (also include link in you signature)

Soon, I plan to get an IBuzzPro so when I get leads, whether self generated, free from the net, or purchased, I plan to hit them with a triple whammy - phone call, email series, and postcard.

Don't give up. Go out and tell the world.

I recently reactivated in GDI. It's been my observation that most people don't join it directly. In the past I found that most of my sign ups came from down  line builders like Ads&Cash, DLP, etc. I also found that those who join through down line builders tend to stay longer. In  comparison those who joined simply for the hosting were always changing hosts.(very competitive field nowadays)

Best Wishes

Yes, I got one. My first and only since joining GDI last February. I'm an affiliate of Tissa Govitarne too with his free people search website. Up to now I'm still not earning even a cent on both GDI and Tissa, but one thing sure is I've already spent quite a lot in promoting them and also around $40 is taken from my credit card month after month.

My Tissa G url is

MY GDI urls are the following:

I appreciate if any one could give me some help or advice on what to do with those websites to be productive. Thanks.

My best advice is to get out of the People Search program. I have heard and read much negative stuff about it. Ledon is right. I have had success only through recommending it to downlines in other programs. You can make a website with it that promotes all you do under one roof. When people join Ads and Cash or another of your programs, refer them to your website. Also try to connect with people by engaging in an online chat or phone call.

You know, one new problem I am having is that I have gotten a few sign ups since joining (and I am now an Acme People Search member) is that people will sign up under you but will either go inactive or quit.  Are any of you having that problem too?  If so what do you do to retain them.  I have learned about referral sharing (where you can place sign ups in your downline's network), but that only seems to work when more than one person signs up and they are still in the free trial mode.  Are there good tactics you use at retaining sign ups?  Sorry, I am a total n00b when it comes to affiliate and network marketing.

I did the Acme program(well still doing it but not full throttle), and I did however receive the promised $125
sign up bonus + $75 on my own, thing is It took 5 months to get, I also am profiting from PPC with my search
engine but not on a daily basis, I guess i can say for me Acme is not as exciting anymore.

As for GDI most of my downline quit and now I am left with only 4, soon as I receive my commissions this month
I am pulling out and joining a more active GDI team called Powerpath, I figured I have nothing to lose.

Apparently they have a great promoting system that gets you your first 6 sign ups fairly fast, they have like 50 or so
promoting for you till you have 6.

Those of you GDI members who are not doing well and wish to join me, just shoot me a pm Smiley

Here is the catch -do not spend any time or money advertising it.
If you surf, you'll notice that there are a lot of people promoting
GDI and GDI teams.

At one time, I quit GDI and joined one of those teams. 4 months later,
I did not have one single referral. So I stopped what I felt what was
wasting my time and advertising credits. Please do realize that teams
do work but they can take quite some time, especially if there is already
a lot of people in.

Recently, I joined GDI yet again -lol. I am in the process of building a
website that is basically about all the effective marketing tips, methods
and strategies that I've used and learned over the years. I will put the link
to it in email signatures, post in in forums, share with downlines, etc

When people join one of my traffic or income producing programs, I
send them a welcome email and encourage them to get to know me
and work with me. For those that take me up on that, I find out if they
have their own website yet. If not, I recommend GDI and help them with
their site if needed.

Hope that helps

Susan Hi,

Your topic is quite timely as it addresses some of the issues that,s been bothering me,
not only am i not getting signups lately i have never gotten any sign ups at GDI,

I Joined Acme in January 08, and was given Startlogic as my Domain Provider, I was doing Google PPC and advertising all over the place withouth any success at all, several months later i stopped paying Acme and Google. During this time i had taken the tour and free trial at GDI,

My Search Engine was there cause the hosting had been paid for 2 yrs ,but that was just it I had nothing to show for my efforts,

In December 09 i renewed the hosting  I figured i would give Acme another try after all i still had my search engine so why not put it to use, In march of this year i switched to GDI for hosting,  But Still no signups from Acme or GDI,

I did not take the website that came with my subscription from GDI, I just hosted my Search Engine with them, so maybe they owe me a website   Grin

I have been getting adverts from Power Path among others saying i should join them if i want signups they will help me to get 6 and then help my downline to get theirs, Of course that would mean an additional subscription to them

I had not planned for that, and i'm wondering does it really work, I have been online long enough to be wary of programs and their promises,  I need some concrete advice and testimonies from trustworthy people who really wants to help, and see others succeed,

Have been told about spinsuccess as the place to get GDI signups, still waiting.

Love Morass5

PowerPath Team USA was the GDI team I was on that I had not got the 1st sign up.
Basically, I was on a long list waiting to get them.

I signed up for Spin Success for something else a long while back.
They just submit your site to search engines, give you some PPC ad credits and have a forum.
I never got results and then had to go through a long hassle just to cancel.

At one time, I paid for a PPC course and put what I learned into action -which basically
took all of my time and energy because there is a lot to learn and a lot of tweaking and
analyzing to be done. I did make sales and did come out ahead but not by much.

I decided PPC was not for me. And if you want to continue to do it even though you've
received no results -then I suggest you pay for training (which is expensive, mine was $700)
And it should be the only thing you focus on until you master it.

I would highly suggest that you spend your time online building your list and providing value
to them. And here is how that works.
~Have a squeeze page that gives away a free something (report, advertising, email series, software, etc)
~Spend all your time promoting it in traffic exchanges, safelists, listbuilders, classifieds, etc
~In the follow up email series, first give them the free thing and then give helpful information. Never ever
try to sell GDI or anything else. You could explain the benefits of owning your own site but not try to
sell them a website (make sense? because once you stop helping and start selling, they will opt out)
~In every email, include the links to GDI and any other programs you want to promote in your signature only

Ads and Cash was a good start for this process for me. I didn't know much about squeeze pages, etc. So I
promoted ANC splashes and I had upgraded to Diamond in which one benefit is that I can email my downline
every 3 days. And I made the mistake of trying to sell people my programs. Then once I started providing
freebies and helpful advice, people responded. I have even made great friends with some of my downline.

Now, I have learned a lot about listbuilding, splash and squeeze pages, autoresponders, providing valuable
content, etc Have I perfected it? No. Will I ever? Probably not -lol. All I know is that once I stopped trying to
sell and started sharing and caring, people started to respond and were interested in what I would recommend.
And I wouldn't recommend GDI as a business opp or to people that already have a website -just doesn't make
sense.
